How Do We Get Started? What's the Structure of a Coaching Relationship?

If you are interested in working together, we start with a no-obligation sample session. This gives you a chance to check me out as a coach. It also gives me a chance to make sure I am the right resource for you. I am based in Shanghai, China where I do work in person. I also work with clients around the world via phone and Skype.

If we decide we're a good fit for coaching together, we launch with a Foundation Session. This is a session of 2-3 hours in which we co-design the relationship, set objectives for what you want to accomplish, and do some powerful self-discovery exercises. The work we do in the Foundation Session becomes the backbone for all the sessions that follow. By setting clear expectations and benchmarks up front, we create the means to track your progress in a tangible way throughout the relationship.

I have several coaching packages available, and the monthly fee varies according to the amount of time and support you select. In most relationships, we have three sessions per month of 45-60 minutes in length. This frequency allows you to achieve the momentum needed to move toward your goals.

I typically request a three-month minimum commitment. This allows you to achieve sustainable momentum for moving toward your goals, as well as a chance to move through any blocks or resistance you may encounter. And most importantly, to experience the thrill of your results.

Some clients find that three months is is enough to launch them confidently in a new direction. Others find that three months is just the beginning, and want to reap the powerful benefits that an ongoing collaborative partnership provides.
